The early days with a newborn are tender and quiet. You’re adjusting, resting, and finding your rhythm. I come to your home and photograph your baby naturally, using soft window light and a baby-led approach, so everything feels relaxed and true to life.
I’m Isela Lozano, an in-home newborn photographer serving families across the San Francisco Bay Area, including Los Gatos, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Marin, and Menlo Park. I specialize in natural, at-home newborn photography without props or studio setups, creating honest images that simply look like your family.
This guide explains how sessions work, what to expect, and how to know if this approach is the right fit for you.
In-home newborn photography takes place in your own home, using natural light and familiar surroundings. Rather than moving your baby into a studio environment, the session happens where you already are, feeding, soothing, resting, and adjusting to life with a newborn.
I typically photograph in spaces with the best available natural light, such as bedrooms, living rooms, or nurseries. No special setup is required.
This approach is ideal for parents who value simplicity and want their photos to reflect real life during the newborn stage, with babies photographed in a way that feels comfortable and unforced.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first few weeks, but there is flexibility. Older newborns photograph beautifully as well, especially in a relaxed, in-home setting where babies can remain comfortable.
If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, we adjust accordingly.
If this approach resonates with you, the next step is to reach out to check availability.
I’ll respond with details on current availability, what’s included, and the simple steps to reserve your session.
If you have questions or would prefer to talk things through, I’m always happy to connect, but there’s no required call unless you want one.
